Gehlot is the fox Gandhies need most to outwit BJP detractors

Ashok Gehlot the 71 year old veteran congress leader is perhaps the most subtle down to earth politician in all the opposition that can be a match for Narendra Modi in next parliamentary election with his own very personal magic touch.

Father of Ashok Gehlot was a politician and local stage magician in Jodhpur. Ashok Gehlot has been a great magician in national  politics for last five decades. He was part of Indira Gandhi cabinet , close to Rajiv Gandhi and close to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.

Ashok Gehlot became Rajasthan chief minister three times defeating very powerful Paras Ram Maderna, Balram Jakhar, Natwar Singh and Naval Kishor Sharma for first Chief minister ship. His second term was a reward over CP Joshi, a Bramhin politician very close to Rahul. Sachin Pilot was the third big victory  despite his close  relations with Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Sachin almost toppled Gehlot government in 2020. Gehlot survived Pilot rebellion and Pilot was branded as traitor.

As of present, Gehlot supporting 92 MLAs out of 106  against High Command in Delhi and wrote to Speaker CP Joshi that they will all resign from the house if Gehlot or his supporter is not the chief minister. It was an unprecedented incidence.

Gehlot was willing to work on both jobs. But Rahul Gandhi declared that congress will have “one man one post” and Gehlot intentions were not acceptable.

This fight will affect Rajasthan assembly elections in December 2023. It is the only state ruled by Congress  except Chhatishgarh. They already lost Punjab and MP due to bad calculations by Delhi High Command and were replaced by BJP governments
