Pie crust recipe is easy once you get the hang of it. Its little tricky.
Ingredients for a double crust recipe:
2 cups of flour
1 tsp salt
1.5 tsp sugar
¾ cup olive oil or butter if you are not afraid of little fat
8 tbsp of ice cold-water
Directions: Dry ingredients first. Mix well in a bowl. Now mix olive oil or melted butter. Now mix chilled water well. Divide the mix in two parts. Let it sit for one hour. Now divide the dough in two parts. Roll lower part on a baking board. Sprinkle flour on pie pan and spread this dough on the pan till it covers edges of the pan.
Now second half of dough need to be mixed with 1 tsp of cinnamon and 2 tbsp of sugar. Roll the dough on board and lay on top of baking dough and fillings. Mend the edges. Make flour holes on top dough for steam to escape while baking – so it’s crispy. Bake for 40-45 minutes until it’s crispy brown.
